Orders

I aim to respond to all order emails within 24 hours.

In stock items will be despatched when payment has been received, usually within 24 hours.

Out of stock items will be made to order and you will be advised when they are ready for despatch.

Customisation / Bespoke Items

I will be very pleased to undertake commissions and also to personalise items and will be pleased to work with you to establish your requirements.  A custom charge may be added but will be discussed before your order is finalised. Quotations for bespoke items will be valid for 30 days only.

Product Quality

Product quality is very important to me and you!  Every care is taken to show products on the website as they are in reality but sometimes colours appear slightly differently on a screen so please be aware of this when ordering to avoid disappointment.  As all items are handmade, sometimes when making further supplies colours or products may be slightly different or the original materials may no longer be available.  If any substitutions are made in the production process you will be advised and asked to confirm your agreement before your order is processed.

Food Products / Cake Orders

Please let me know if you have (or the recipient has) any food allergies when ordering food products and I will try to work with you.  I can give you a full list of ingredients if required.  However, please note that nuts are used in the workplace where food items are created.  When you have placed your food order you will receive advice on the invoice for storage/use by date etc.  All food preparation is undertaken in accordance with local authority health and hygiene regulations and I am registered and monitored by them.

When ordering cakes please let me have at least 3 weeks notice.

Payments

When your order has been acknowledged and confirmed you will be asked to send your payment by BACS (otherwise known as Faster Payment Scheme or Internet Banking Transfer).  Bank details will be provided to you when your invoice is emailed to you.

Shipping Information
Shipping rates are based on product weight, size and the type of packaging required to get your items to you in the very best condition.

Until such time as the on-line shop becomes an e-commerce shop I will confirm the cost of P & P when replying to your order email.

I will be happy to post items to the UK, Europe and Rest of the World.

In addition to postal charges, customers in non-EU countries will be liable for duty at local rates. These charges are a legal requirement and are not imposed by Scaredy Cat Designs.

Delivery
UK orders will be shipped  first class with Royal Mail so in most instances should arrive the next working day following shipment but in some instances this can take slightly longer, especially the closer it gets to Christmas when volumes increase.
EUROPEAN orders are shipped with Royal Mail standard services which have delivery estimates of 3-5 working days but in some circumstances can take up to 10 days.
REST OF THE WORLD orders are shipped with Royal Mail standard services which have delivery estimates of 5 – 7 working days but in some circumstances can take up to 15 days.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order please do so before your order has been despatched. If you cancel your order after it has been despatched you will still be charged and may have to pay return postage fees.

Returns

I want you to have a great experience shopping with SCD but if your order is faulty, I will replace it and pay for return postage.

If you are unhappy with your purchase please contact me within 5 days of receiving your order. I will be happy to work with you but expect items to be returned within 14 days and sender will pay the postage. The item must be in the same condition and packaging as when originally sent.

Returns of Personalised items will not be considered unless faulty.

Charitable Donations

Scaredy Cat Designs make a donation from all sales of Pet Gifts of 10% to the Retired Greyhound Trust, Scottish Borders Branch at Reston, Berwickshire.
